Star-Designer? Achmed, Ali, Tanya? Der Schaft? Soll das witzig sein? Mehr Selbstvertrauen für gebrochene Schriften? Das ist mir alles sehr peinlich; es ist sehr aufwendig gemacht, ganz fraglos! Aber es ist so unglaublich schlecht! Schrift ist Kultur... Der Typ heisst Manutius, Aldus Manutius!

well, you tube doesn't make this easy to find: in the player windows there is to the lower right a button with an upwards pointing arrow. It's the one right of the "switch to fullscreen"-button. if you move your mouse over it there's a pop-up menu making it possible to enable closed captioning "CC". enjoy!

Eine Entwicklung, die ich sehr bedauere. Ich weiss nicht weshalb, doch die gebrochenen Schriften wirken auf mich schöner und angenehmer im Lesefluss. Vielleicht sollte man einfach dazu übergehen und in Zukunft wieder nach und nach mehr auf Fraktur setzen. Dank des CSS3-Standards wird es ja bald im Internet möglich sein, eine Seite mit einer Schriftartdatei zu verknüpfen. Dann kann man die Website direkt in Fraktur setzen :).

Bis 1941 wurden Fraktur- und Antiquaschriften nebeneinander verwendet, aber 1941 wurde die Antiqua als alleinige Amtsschrift bestätigt, während die Fraktur aus allen offiziellen Medien verschwand. Nach dem Krieg gab es überraschend viele Bücher, die wieder in Fraktur gesetzt wurden. Hermann Hesse z. B. ließ seine Werke fast ausschließlich in Fraktur setzen. Aber dann kamen irgendwelche Deppen, die von "politischem Missbrauch" sprachen, wo nie einer war -- u. seitdem war's das.

Haben sie das wirklich? Mir ist nur bekannt, dass die Fraktur 1941 verboten wurde. Man diffamierte vor allem die Schwabacher als ?Schwabacher Judenletter und gab allgemein der Fraktur den Status ?unerwünscht.

vielen dank für den kommentar -- das freut mich sehr. schließlich gehts ja bei (hoffentlich?) gutem entertainment vorallem um den gegenseitigen austausch. darum freut es mich umso mehr, dass trotz der kleinen aufgedeckten ungereimtheiten (siehe frühere kommentare hier) mein filmchen so gut angekommen ist. :)

Denn die Nationalsozialisten haben ja nichts anderes getan, als die deutsche National- und Amtsschrift WEITER zu verwenden. Was hätten sie denn tun sollen? Die chinesische Schrift einführen? Oder doch die irische? Man kann verschiedener Meinung sein über die Fraktur. Sie sind froh, dass sie abgeschafft wurde. Ich bin es nicht. Ich finde die lat. Schrift auch schön, sicher, aber ginge es nach mir, bekäme die Fraktur wieder mehr Platz im dt. Leben. Natürlich korrekt geschrieben.

Also bitte. "europa zugewandeten fachleuten" - Erstens gab es auf beiden Seiten Fachleuten, nicht nur auf der Antifrakturseite, und zweitens: Warum sollte eine deutsche Nationalschrift irgendwie Kontakt mit dem Ausland verhindern? Die Griechen haben doch auch kein Problem, sind sogar in der EU, genauso wie die Bulgaren mit ihrer kyrillischen Schrift. Dass die Schrift nicht missbraucht wurde, ist richtig, aber Ihr Verweis auf 1941 unnötig. Der gesunde Menschenverstand müsste reichen.
