@bqureshi - Also I have learned that raw cocoa is an excellent anti-depressant as it has 4 chemicals that the brains needs such as serotonin and dopamine. Licorice root (not the candy) also has anti-depressant compounds. I haven't tried this but I've heard that Cannabis sativa is a good anti-depressant, but better than smoking it is to ingest the raw extracts. Look up "Rick Simpson" for that. Also look up Dr Robert Beck and his "brain tuner". I've used this and it easily halved my problem.

I'm also going to send you a video of this doctor I found on youtube by the name of Dr Mark Hyman. He is excellent, and is a doctor that looks at the causes of problems, not just treating symptoms. He looks at health and nutrition first before getting people into drugs. He has a video series on how to fix what he calls "broken brains" and I must say I've learned more from him than all the doctors appointments I've had in my life.

Thanks for saying that. I got really tired of the popularity contest at work when the economic storm hit us, and I got laid off even though I worked for reduced pay and longer night hours no one wanted, still got laid off even though the other more socially appealing but lazy workers stayed because they were good friends with the bosses.

Stopping doing the things you love is a classic symptom of depression. I think I'm becoming more and more depressed as time goes by. Thing is, I know depression is a brain thing and I know I have it but I just can't get rid of it! no matter how hard I try. As time goes by I stop doing more and more things I love. It's come to a time where I dont even like sleeping anymore! because I cant relax knowing that I have to wake up the next morning and face life. Absolutely NOTHING makes me happy

Depression is very much related to the structure of the brain. Remember there are no cure for depression. There are no magic words to cure depression. Depression is simply part of life. Depression is like a cycle, it comes and goes, it rises and falls. Wait till you grow older, we all still have to face old age and subject to illness. We still have to face the fragile of life like cancer, heart attack, stroke, accidents or others ailments that can cause us to die. Birth is suffering.

Perhaps millions are depressed because they're herded into the school system nearly straight after birth, held against their will, beaten down psychologically/emotionally for years and are essentially indoctrinated into believing that a materialist, cut-throat, "fuck you, it's mine" way of life is the only way of life. That obtaining a job in some dank cubicle and pissing the best years of your life away under florescent tubes is somehow "ideal and necessary" for the economy to stay afloat.

when i became depressed, im look like a drug addict and scary (big eyes and flat expression of the face, smiley expression of eyes). and people who i encounter stays away from me. if my depression is severe when i fall a sleep i frequently stop breathing.
